Giles - CIW President & COO Rob has been in the business full-time since 1973 and worked part-time for a number of years prior while attending school. He has a Business Management Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Rob has been involved in all facets of the General Agency and has been on the board for the past ten years. He has been President for 8 years and is responsible for the day-to-day management including Marketing and Underwriting. Rob also served as President of American Association of Managing General Agents for the 2002-2003 term.

Race Jr. - CIC Sr. Vice President Branch Manager Prior to joining Midwest General Agency in 1973, Bob served in the Air Force and worked as an inspector and ratemaker for the Wisconsin Fire Insurance Rating Bureau. Bob was honored as the Company Representative of the Year by the Independent Insurance Agents of Wisconsin in 1996 and continues to be active in the association. He serves on the Wisconsin Independent Agents Technical Committee and has written articles for the Wisconsin Independent Agent magazine on a variety of topic. He has a CIC designation. Bob is currently Senior Vice President of R.W. Scobie Inc. and Branch Manager of the Eau Claire office.

Rodger is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire where he earned a BA degree in accounting.

Amelse - AU, ACSR Commercial Lines Underwriter Kim started as a typist in 1979 after completing a 2-year Clerk-Typist Program at the Chippewa Valley Technical College. She typed Commercial Lines policies until 1985 and then began rating Commercial Lines policies. In 1986 she was promoted to Commercial Lines Underwriter. In 1993 she earned her ACSR designation and earned her AU designation in 1994.

Scobie, Inc. in June of 1967 as a typist in the Personal Lines Department. Within a short time, she also began typing Commercial Lines policies and also started rating Personal Lines Policies a few years later. In 1980 she moved into Commercial Lines as a rater and has been a Commercial Lines Underwriter since 1982.

A few years later she began underwriting personal snowmobile & boat policies, and in 1984 became a Commercial Lines Underwriter for all lines of insurance. Today Joan is a P&C Commercial Lines Underwriter for the state of MN. As an employee Joan has attended many continuing education seminars, has completed numerous self-study programs receiving certificates of completion for all lines of commercial insurance, & has obtained her Associate Degree in Underwriting. Joan has worked as a "part-time" employee during her career & feels she has had the best of both worlds as a Mother of two, a recent Grandmother, & as an employee at R W Scobie.

Scobie, Inc.) in 1987 in the "standard lines" department processing commercial lines policies. After a short stint there, Liz moved into the commercial lines department as an underwriting assistant, and then became an underwriter, responsible for her own territory of agents. In the summer of 1999 Liz applied for, and received a position as a marketing rep. She currently works with about 275 agencies in northern Wisconsin, from Hudson to Green Bay. Currently, Liz is the Chairperson of the IIAW Smaller Agencies Committee, is the Secretary for the IIAWW and continues to be active in the IIANW.
